Can they be deployed as part of a solution? My assumption is no and that they actually extend VS itself in which case you’re better off deploying them via the VS Extension gallery as a VSIX.

We have created some NuGet packages for our internal assemblies, and have also created our own repository out on our internal network.

Recently, I tried to add a new NuSpec that had a dependency on EFCodeFirst, which according to the NuGet gallery is the correct ID.

The problem is, when I try to install this in another project I get an error that NuGet can't find EFCodeFirst.

Is this because EFCodeFirst and our internal assemblies are in separate repos?

Yes, this has come up before, and it would be best not to do that. We should just make it illegal. I think there are just a couple right now.

Something to add as a best practice: don't use spaces in your package names.

Possible, just not a good practice.

Try:

Install-Package 'Blueprint CSS'

Note that you get intellisense, so just type bl and TAB.

In package manager console, when trying to install the Blueprint CSS library:

install-package blueprint (results in not found)
install-package blueprintcss (results in not found)
install-package blueprint css (results in invalid proj. name due to space presumably)
install-package blueprint-css (results in not found)
install-package blueprint.css (results in not found)

When I run get-package -remote (with or without a filter on "blueprint") the Blueprint CSS package is listed as available. The name listed is "Blueprint CSS", but no indication of what to use when referencing the package in the install-package command.

I see the Blueprint package in the packages list, but I can't figure out the package name. All the variations I've tried either come up with "Unable to find" or "invalid project name". Any thoughts?

Ok, I didn't realize that the spec had already been updated. Are the LastUpdated and Published columns are still coming through the OData feed (I'm looking at it through linqpad). And both the 1.2 and 1.3 released versions have the same dates.
